Hero Cashmere is an independent Franco-Scottish label based in Paris, born from a love of travel, beautiful natural fibres and clothes that are made to be genuinely lived in.
I come from the Scottish Highlands, but Paris in now my home. My travels through Mongolia sparked a fascination with the story of its cashmere - and with the exceptional softness, warmth and natural performance of this remarkable fibre. What began as a discovery of cashmere leggings to keep me warm on my travels gradually became a brand, shaped by the places and people I encountered along the way.
The Hero Cashmere aesthetic sits somewhere between Scotland and Paris. From Scotland comes an instinctive appreciation for warmth, practicality and knitwear that can withstand real life. From Paris comes a love of simplicity, proportion and the quiet impact of one beautiful piece. Mongolian cashmere fits naturally into this meeting of worlds. It offers the warmth and usefulness I associate with Scotland, together with the lightness and understated elegance that feel at home in Paris. The result is cashmere that feels relaxed but refined: easy to wear, yet capable of elevating the simplest wardrobe.
Our philosophy is simple: cashmere should be lived in, loved and worn every day. It should not be confined to special occasions or treated as too precious to enjoy. We create comfortable, uncomplicated pieces - from soft socks to generously shaped tops - that bring warmth and understated luxury to everyday life.
Our cashmere comes from Mongolia, where we regularly visit the friends and suppliers with whom we work. Every stage of production, from fibre to finished garment, takes place in Mongolia, helping to keep skills, craftsmanship and economic value within the country.
These relationships are central to Hero Cashmere. As a small independent brand, we have the privilege of knowing the people behind our garments and of returning to Mongolia to follow the production process, develop new ideas and deepen friendships over time.
Hero Cashmere brings together three places: the Scottish roots of its founder, the understated elegance of Paris and the landscapes, fibre and craftsmanship of Mongolia.
